A bit tight

The look and quality of the product is great but with the adhesive tape it makes the gap between the bumper and rear doors very very tight. I’m planning to remove mine when the weather gets warmer, if I can, and re fasten using a thin layer of adhesive. I wouldn’t use tape. I’m worried about the bottom of the doors constantly sitting in water caused by the narrow gap and eventually rusting.
